Short Description:
The Indiana Office of Technology is seeking a skilled Senior Application Developer & Data Engineer with expertise in MuleSoft APIs, Azure Data Factory, and GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer services.
Complete Description:
Resource will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining various applications and systems to support our state agencies. This role also includes operations and support activities, such as fielding and resolving customer tickets and issues.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development: Design, develop, and implement applications using MuleSoft APIs, Azure Data Factory, GoAnywhere Managed File Transfer services, additional cloud ETL services, data pipelines, and application development technologies.
Software Development Lifecycle: Participating in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that collect, process, and store data from various sources.
Data Modeling and Architecture: Design and implement robust data models that enable efficient data analysis and manipulation
System Integration: Integrate various systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
Programming: Develops and codes new application software and/or make enhancements to existing application software.
Testing: Tests and debugs new and existing application software, generating comprehensive unit test data, and validating test results.
Customer Support: Field and resolve agency customer tickets and issues in a timely and efficient manner. Resolves customer issues with application software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks, ensure data integrity, and contribute to data governance policies.
Project Support: Confers with management to assist in planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of assigned areas. Assists state staff and vendors on various development projects and contributes to Agile and SDLC project management in assigned areas.
Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing applications, data pipelines, and systems.
Operations Activities: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance of applications and systems.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all applications, systems, and integrations.
Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, system administrators, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Compliance: Ensure all applications and systems comply with state policies and regulations.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and data engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
