The Auto Care Association is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and reliability of the Association's data systems, reporting platforms, and automation processes.


This role focuses on maintaining and supporting existing solutions. The Junior Data Analyst will help ensure databases, reports, workflows, and operational processes remain accurate, efficient, and dependable while providing timely support to internal stakeholders.


The position serves as a key operational resource by supporting data quality, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining business intelligence reporting, and assisting with process documentation and continuous improvement efforts. By assuming ownership of routine technical support and maintenance functions, this role enables senior technical staff to focus on new development initiatives, process modernization, scalable solution design, and long-term strategic planning.


This position serves as the primary operational support resource for data systems, reporting platforms, and automation processes, helping ensure continuity, reliability, and data quality while enabling senior technical staff to focus on new development, architecture, and strategic initiatives.


Working closely with the SQL Database Developer, this role provides hands-on experience with enterprise databases, reporting systems, automation processes, and operational data management while offering a clear growth path into more advanced technical and analytical roles.

Requirements: Database Administration & Data Maintenance
  • Maintain and update existing database objects, including tables, views, stored procedures, and scheduled processes.
  • Perform routine data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Investigate and resolve data integrity issues and operational data discrepancies.
  • Support database performance monitoring and assist with optimization efforts.
  • Execute and monitor recurring data imports, exports, and operational data processes.
  • Assist with database updates, releases, and maintenance activities.
Reporting & Business Intelligence Support
  • Maintain and enhance existing Power BI dashboards and operational reports.
  • Support report updates, data model adjustments, and visualization improvements.
  • Monitor and validate Power BI dataset refreshes and reporting processes.
  • Perform data validation to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Respond to routine reporting requests and operational data inquiries from internal stakeholders.
  • Assist business users with report troubleshooting and interpretation.
Automation & Technical Operations
  • Monitor and maintain existing automation scripts, scheduled jobs, and data workflows.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and implement approved enhancements.
  • Support Python-based and SQL-based automation processes.
  • Review automated job outputs, error logs, and exception reports.
  • Assist with testing, deployment, and validation of process improvements.
  • Identify opportunities for incremental automation and operational efficiencies.
Data Operations, Integrations & System Support
  • Support recurring data imports, exports, scheduled jobs, and operational data processes.
  • Monitor existing SQL-based, Python-based, and reporting-related workflows to ensure successful completion and identify exceptions.

  • Follow established documentation and version control practices when updating scripts, reports, dashboards, and operational processes.
  • Escalate complex development, performance tuning, integration, or database architecture issues to senior technical staff when appropriate.

  • Perform routine data analysis and research to support business and operational needs.
  • Fulfill recurring data requests from internal teams.

Required QualificationsEducation
