About the role
CS Erickson is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems for a variety of Structured Cabling projects. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our Structured Cabling solutions, ensuring their efficiency, safety, and adherence to industry standards.
What you'll do
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and integration of complex Structured Cabling systems.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing.
  • Support sales staff with quote generation and engineering
  • Lead the design and architecture of Structured Cabling systems, considering project requirements, safety standards, and client needs.
  • Create detailed documentation, including system specifications, architecture diagrams, system schematics, system flow diagrams.
  • Develop innovative and effective design strategies to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Integrate system design with various potential systems such as HVAC, lighting, and building management controls
  • Develop comprehensive testing plans and methodologies to validate the functionality and performance of systems.
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement improvements and enhancements to existing AV/Structured Cabling systems.
  • Ensure that systems adhere to industry safety standards, regulations, and electrical codes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and clients, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Associate degree
  • 5+ Years of designing AV signal flows with AutoCAD and using CAD software for overall system design
  • Previous experience in mentoring or leading junior engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of successfully resolving complex AV/Structured Cabling system issues.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and codes.
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration and technical presentations.
  • CTS and/or CTS-D Designation
  • Crestron CTI training certification
  • Biamp audio certification
  • QSC training certification
