Job description

Job Summary:
Dark Wolf is looking for a DevOps Engineer who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment building and maintaining a DevSecOps Platform as a Service for a DoD customer. The successful candidate will work within the team to develop and maintain multiple Kubernetes-based PaaS solutions, automate deployment of services, and monitor security and performance of the platform.
Responsibilities:
• Deploying and maintaining critical services supporting both on-prem and cloud-native architecture.
• Working with the Cybersecurity team by implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
• Using automation best practices, such a IaC and GitOps, for repeatability and fast provisioning of environments.
• Deploying and maintaining Kubernetes platforms in multiple environments and classification levels.
• Working closely with development teams to provide onboarding support.
• Ensuring platform and networks are compliant with DoD policies.
• Supporting backup and disaster recovery planning.
• Understand platform usage, anticipate developer needs, and expand capabilities to improve the developer experience.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10+ years configuring, deploying, maintaining, and securing Kubernetes platforms
• 10+ years of relevant experience administering Linux servers (ex. RHEL, Ubuntu)
• 10+ years with CI/CD automation servers (ex. GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Experience with administration of Linux endpoints (clients)
• Experience with providing Identity Management services including SSO using OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance required
Preferred:
• Experience with CI/CD automation servers including GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI
• Experience working with OCI containers, containerizing applications, container networking, and container runtimes (Docker, cri-o, containderd)
• Experience with deploying and maintaining CNCF products to on-prem or cloud environments
• Scripting experience including at least a subset of the following: Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible
• Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with artifact repositories (ex. Artifactory, Sonatype Nexus)
• Experience and/or familiarity with security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Neuvector, PrismaCloud/Twistlock
• Experience with immutable filesystems
