ANNOUNCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Experienced Softball Umpires

Recreation Services

Part Time Temporary Position

Not eligible for all benefits, will accrue paid sick time


Rate of Pay: $30.00/game


Deadline to Apply: July 24th, 2026

The City of Prescott Recreation Services Department is taking applications for Softball Umpires for an upcoming tournament July 31- August 2nd . Game times vary but could begin as early as 8:00am with the last game ending as late as 6:00pm or 7:00p.m.


Officials: Previous softball umpiring experience is required. Must provide own umpire indicator and plate brush. Softball umpires will earn $30 per game.


Physical and Visual Ability: Sufficient to effectively and safely perform required duties and to safely operate required equipment.

Hearing and Speaking Ability: Clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate in person and over the telephone.

Successful candidate will receive a post-offer, pre-employment background screening to include:

  • Drug screening
  • Motor vehicle records check
  • Criminal background screening
