Summer Construction Laborer
A-Line Striping Inc.
Schenectady, NY

Pay: $20.00 per hour starting wage
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Seasonal (July & August)
Location: Based out of Schenectady, NY

A-Line Striping is seeking dependable Summer Construction Laborers to assist with parking lot striping and pavement marking operations throughout the Capital Region.

This position is ideal for college students, recent graduates, individuals seeking seasonal employment, or anyone looking to gain experience in the construction industry. No experience is required. We will train the right person.

What We Are Looking For

The most important qualification is reliability. We need people who show up when scheduled, arrive on time, and are willing to work hard as part of a team.

Our work schedule is not always routine. Many projects begin in the afternoon and continue into the evening. Weekend work is common during the busy season. There are also times when we may work late one day and return early the next morning to meet customer schedules and weather windows.

For college students and others interested in continued employment, weekend work opportunities are often available during the fall and spring semesters following the summer season.

Job Duties

  • Assist with parking lot striping and pavement marking operations
  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Prepare work areas using blowers, brooms, and other tools
  • Set up and remove traffic cones and work zone devices
  • Perform general construction labor and cleanup
  • Follow directions from crew leaders and supervisors

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to lift and carry 50–90 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot, cold, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work weekends and non-routine hours as needed
