JSM Consulting Inc. is a consulting firm seeking a midlevel Technical Writer. The role involves drafting and developing technical documentation, organizing complex information, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure clarity and accuracy in documentation.
Responsibilities:
• drafting and developing technical writing efforts across software documentation, business processes, and IT operations
• breaking down complex information and organizing it logically for the user, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and consistency
• research and information gathering, including document analysis and interviewing stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs)
• utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio) to support documentation development and delivery
• document management: organizing information; creating diagrams, charts, and other visual aids; and using documentation systems
• working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, operations and customer support, to ensure documentation aligns across system and business functions and meets user needs
• reviewing and testing documentation, including the incorporation of feedback to update and improve content and testing for usability and accuracy
• utilizing industry standard technical summary and reporting techniques
