Dexian Government Solutions is recruiting for a System Administrator to support our contract at PEOSTRI in Orlando, FL.
Position Overview:
The System Administrator is a hybrid remote/in-office position primarily responsible for configuring, deploying and maintaining RHEL virtual servers and virtualization technologies within a DoD environment. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and supporting end users to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure runs efficiently and securely.
Job Duties:
  • Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers, operating systems, and applications
  • Managing and maintaining the virtual environment within VMware product line
  • Monitor system performance and ensure the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including patches, updates, and backups
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory or other identity management platforms
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely support to end users
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain Cyber Security standards and requirements within RHEL and virtualization technologies
  • Assist with planning and executing system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments
  • Collaborate with IT team members and vendors to resolve complex technical issues

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology OR 4 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of RHEL operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) a plus
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Scripting skills (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python) preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with DISA STIGs and federal security compliance standards

Requirements to Start:
  • A fully adjudicated DOD Secret clearance is required to Start
  • An IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA Security+ce, is required to Start
