Job description

Job Summary:
During the internship term, the News Station Intern will support daily departmental operations. Participants will acquire practical knowledge through direct broadcast journalism work. This internship offers participants the chance to learn about news production as well as skills specific to their department. During their internship, interns will develop industry skills through direct collaboration with experienced employees as they help produce station content and support operations.
The departments available for internship are News/Production, Weather, and Sports.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of current events and the media industry.
  • Interest in learning the technical aspects of news production, including video editing software, newsroom equipment, and online platforms.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Prior experience in media production or an internship in a related field is a plus but not required.
