The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager & Tax Managers to lead a high-performing tax team while managing complex compliance and consulting engagements. This role combines technical expertise, leadership responsibilities, client management, and business development, ideal for someone looking to make a significant impact within a highly respected practice.


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach tax professionals at all levels, including oversight of onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and workflow management.
  • Conduct and supervise complex tax compliance, including multi-state, federal, and specialized filings for individuals, corporations, partnerships, fiduciaries, nonprofits, estates, and gifts.
  • Perform advanced tax research and stay current with evolving laws and regulatory developments.
  • Manage client relationships through proactive communication, issue resolution, and strategic tax planning guidance.
  • Support business development: meet prospective clients, prepare proposals, evaluate needs, and strengthen the firm’s market presence.
  • Review and respond to IRS and state agency notices, inquiries, and audit matters.
  • Delegate projects effectively while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with firm leadership to drive department success, efficiency, and growth.
  • Work additional hours during peak seasons as required.
  • Handle special projects and related duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field.
  • Active CPA or Bar license.
  • 8+ years of public accounting experience with a tax focus.
  • Strong tax research skills and experience with complex, multi-entity filings.
  • Proficiency with tax compliance software (e.g., GoSystems) and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, judgment, organizational ability, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • Significant leadership or supervisory experience.
