Job description

About the Role:

Established Primary Care Practice | Over 25 Years of Service

We are a well-established primary care practice in Bel Air, Maryland with more than 25 years of experience providing quality, compassionate, patient-centered care to our community. We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physician with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints accurately in EHR/EMR systems
  • Prepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms between patient visits
  • Administer injections, draw blood, and perform basic laboratory procedures
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
  • Handle prescription refill requests and prior authorizations under physician direction
  • Communicate with patients regarding test results, follow-up care, and instructions
Requirements:
  • Active CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or equivalent) required
  • High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy outpatient setting
  • CPR/BLS certification preferred
