Job description

Department: Center Of Learning And Pro Dev
Shift: Day
Working Hours: 2 (8 hour shifts 1st week)3 (8 hour shifts 2nd week)This will be the pattern for each weeks of the month
Summary:
The Unit (Staff) Educator collaborates with the Team Lead Planner and the Center of Learning and Professional Development team, nursing managers and others to provide education to the Baptist Health division of nursing. The Unit( Staff) Educator teaches and develops course education in select Center of Learning & Professional Development courses, updates and evaluates courses and educational materials using evidence based practice. Functions as a Unit (staff) Educator for specialty areas.
Other information:
Graduate of an accredited NLN school of nursing. Bachelors in Nursing degree preferred. Certification is staff development or similar certification preferred. Working knowledge of regulatory guidelines, evidence based practice, core measures, performance improvement processes, trends in clinical nursing practice and The Joint Commission regulations preferred. At least two years experience in education specialty field. Must possess a current ASBN license or in the state of primary residence if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state. Prefer experience in teaching, computer, audiovisual equipment and fundamental clinical nursing. Good communication skills and professionalism required.
This job will be authorized 40.00 hours bi-weekly.
