Position Overview
Cultivate Initiatives is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to assist the Director of Finance with accounting for the fiscal operations of the Housing Department
Compensation/Benefits:
- $60,000-65,000 DOE

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Processing Monthly Rent Payments from a variety of funding sources
- Use Quickbooks Online accounting software to enter monthly rent subsidies and process physical check payments
Housing Subsidy Data Tracking
- Collaborate with Housing team on tracking rent subsidy payments, balances, and other financial data
- Create tracking systems and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all required data is being tracked in an organized manner
- Review lease documents for financial data and accuracy
- Maintain tenant ledgers and required documentation for Supported Agency Leasing program
Date Integrity and Reporting
- Reconcile Housing Department data with fiscal data for monthly submittal to JOHS and other funding partners
- Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure reliable and accurate data.
General Accounting tasks
- Enter and pay invoices using Quickbooks Online accounting software
- Reconciling multiple checking and credit card accounts - QBO
- Reconciling Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis using Microsoft Excel
- Light filing and assisting Finance Director with annual audit preparation and fiscal file management
- Other accounting tasks as assigned by Finance Director
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in property accounting, bookkeeping, non-profit accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Excellent organization and analytical and skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage and document processes.
- Prior experience in non-profit or social service settings is a plus.
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed indoors.
- Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, from quiet offices to louder, industrial settings.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Work requires the ability to perform repetitive movements of the wrist, hands, or fingers due to continuous use of computer keyboards and other office equipment.
- Being physically present in the CI offices from 8:30am 4:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or religious exemption
- Must be able to provide proof of Drivers License
