Job description

Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant Location: Reston, VA Type: Contract Compensation: $18/h Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: Mon: 10am-5pm (occasionally Chantilly, if needed) Wed Thu: 10am-4pm Fri: 10am-5pm (occasionally Chantilly, if needed)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the company, welcoming guests and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.
  • Perform daily walk-through of the office to ensure cleanliness of lobby and common areas including the kitchens.
  • Greet and direct all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates, and customers.
  • Sign for packages and accept mail; coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx / UPS).
  • Monitor inventory and stock office and break room supplies.
  • Maintain calendars for conference rooms and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Perform administrative and office support activities including answering incoming calls and filing.
  • Assist consultants with copying and collating work, and help prepare presentations and handouts.
  • Coordinate meetings and set-ups, including food ordering as needed.
  • Handle special administrative projects from Accounting, HR, Security, and other departments.
Requirements
  • One year of administrative experience.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work and excel in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to change.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
