  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to enhance patient recovery.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping mechanisms.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated and cohesive patient care.
  • Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients feel safe and supported during critical times.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping strategies, and available resources to aid in recovery.
  • Maintain meticulous, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring patient privacy and care continuity.
  • Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to professional development focused on trauma-informed practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our ideal candidate will specifically serve individuals who have experienced trauma, including a diverse spectrum of patients grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
  • Deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and a commitment to trauma-informed care practices.
  • Proven experience with trauma-focused interventions and therapies.
