What is a job offer?

A job offer is a formal proposal by an employer to a candidate for employment in a specific position. It typically outlines key details such as job title, salary, benefits, work schedule, and other terms of employment. A job offer can be made verbally or in writing, but it is usually formalized with a written letter or contract. Accepting a job offer marks the beginning of the employment relationship between the employer and the employee.

What should I expect during the negotiation process after receiving a job offer?

After receiving a job offer, it's common for candidates to enter a negotiation phase where salary, benefits, start dates, and other terms may be discussed. Employers generally expect some negotiation, so it's important to approach the process professionally and be prepared to justify your requests with research and examples. Communication is typically conducted via email or phone with a recruiter or hiring manager. Being clear about your priorities and showing flexibility can help reach a mutually beneficial agreement. Remember to get any agreed-upon changes documented in your official offer letter.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a job offer, and why are they important?

I'm sorry, but 'Job Offer' is not a valid professional occupation. Please provide a real-world job title to receive an accurate response.

Direct Acquisition Specialist

Houston, TX • On-site

Full-time

Job description

Join the A-Team That Turns Hustle into Huge Paydays

About 1 Hour Home Offer We are a Houston-based real estate investment firm that helps homeowners in difficult or time-sensitive situations by providing fast, fair solutions. Our signature service is making a cash offer on a home in as little as one hour. We work with sellers facing foreclosure, inherited properties, divorce, relocation, or homes that need repairs — and we make the process simple, respectful, and stress-free.

About the Role As a Direct Acquisition Agent, you are the first point of contact with motivated sellers. You'll be handed warm leads and trusted to turn conversations into contracts — touring homes, running comps, estimating repairs, and making confident offers on the spot. No cold calling. No license required. Just strong people skills, sharp instincts, and a drive to close. This is a hybrid role with a mix of field-based property visits and in-office time for training, huddles, and team collaboration.

Requirements

Your Responsibilities

  • Work warm, inbound leads — no cold calling required
  • Tour properties, run comparable sales, and estimate repair budgets accurately
  • Make confident, on-the-spot offers and negotiate contracts that work for both sellers and the business
  • Manage your pipeline and keep the CRM updated throughout every deal
  • Coordinate handoffs to the closing team and maintain clear communication throughout
  • Participate in daily huddles and weekly skill development sessions

What You Bring

  • A motivated, accountable mindset — you show up, follow through, and own your numbers
  • Sales experience in any industry; real estate background is a plus but not required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort navigating tough or emotional conversations
  • No fear of rejection — you hear "no" as part of the process, not the end of it
  • Willingness to learn systems, scripts, and processes and put them to work consistently

Benefits

What We Offer

  • Uncapped commission with unlimited inbound lead flow — your income ceiling is self-imposed
  • Day-one immersion training and proven playbooks to get you up to speed fast
  • No real estate license required to start or at any point in this role
  • High-energy team culture with daily huddles, weekly skill development, and ongoing feedback
  • Clear growth path within a fast-scaling firm
  • Benefits package details to be discussed during the interview process

How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief note on what makes you the right fit for this role. We review applications on a rolling basis and move quickly.
