Job Summary:
MDAEdge is a company seeking a Looker Admin with extensive experience in managing BI platforms. The role involves implementing and administering BI solutions, with a focus on Looker, Power BI, and automation of data processes.
Responsibilities:
• Extensive experience with implementing and managing BI platforms for business intelligence, data applications, and embedded analytics.
• 10+ years of experience in managing BI Platforms including Power BI, Looker, Amazon QuickSight.
• Experience in designing and delivering complex platform architectures.
• Extensive experience with Python programming, Shell Scripting, and PowerShell Scripting.
• Identify and implement various automation solutions using scripting.
• Have worked on various product APIs to automate Admin functions.
• Extensive knowledge and experience on setting up security using Active Directory, Azure AD, and Ping Federate.
• Have worked on configuring OAuth, SAML configurations for SSO implementation.
• Experience in defining SDLC processes and CI/CD processes using Jenkins.
• Integrating Looker with a GIT repo for code commits.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with platform governance and resiliency.
• Power BI Service architecture design and administration including but not limited to Azure and Power BI Administration, PBI Premium Capacity Administration, and extensive knowledge of Power BI Premium Service as a whole and how to troubleshoot and find opportunities for automation to streamline the day-to-day operations of the platform.
• Experience with Looker Setup and Administration.
• Architect and develop data models, ETL packages, and reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices to the development lifecycle. Data Modeling experience with Kimball method.
• Experience with more than one database tool such as Snowflake, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server.
• Understanding of various external components that BI tools depend on for successful connectivity, including understanding of Network, Firewall, Proxy, etc.
• Integrating Power BI with different tools, including but not limited to Splunk, Collibra, ServiceNow.
• Understanding of pre-requisites for a successful connection setup.
• Strong ability to quickly propose solutions by recalling the latest best practices learned from MVP & Product Team articles, vendor documentation, whitepapers, and community publications.
• A passion for understanding and integrating business semantics into technology solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role were delivering solid work products to exceed high expectations is a measure of success.
• Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills.
• Ability to lead complex projects.
