Inventory Control Specialist

📍 Onsite | Manufacturing Environment

We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization that is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to take ownership of inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse inventory processes. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys improving processes, working cross-functionally, and ensuring production has the materials it needs to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and resolve variances.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are entered accurately and on time within the company's ERP system.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support material replenishment activities.
  • Coordinate material movements and inventory transfers as needed.
  • Develop and improve inventory control processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze inventory performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with annual physical inventories and routine inventory audits.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, and Shipping to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on organization, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide data to support operational decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of inventory control, materials management, or warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management best practices and inventory accuracy.
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a plus.
