Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual that enjoys social services and the elderly. Universal Metro Aging Services is a Not-For-Profit organization that aims to serve immigrant populations of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Middle East, Latin America and Europe. UMAS is a small, family run organization. The perceptive employee would need to have experience with that or have experience wearing multiple hats. In addition, perceptive employee should be able to work autonomously, be a self-starter, and have initiative and lots of follow through.
Requirements
- Prepare and cook Indian vegetarian meals (Hindi/Gujarati cuisine preferred) on a daily basis
- Operate and maintain a roti/chapati machine to ensure consistent production
- Prepare bulk quantities of food for 200-300 people per day
- Plan and execute menus in coordination with management
- Maintain food quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, including ingredients and supplies
- Ensure timely ordering and stocking of raw materials
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Assist in minimizing food waste and controlling costs
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and helpers
