Seeking a Seasonal Field Coordinator for a Unique Arctic Opportunity!

Polar Field Services, Inc. is seeking a resourceful and resilient Seasonal Field Coordinator to join our team in Greenland. If you're looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to contribute to vital scientific research in a remote and breathtaking environment, this is your chance.

Polar Field Services, Inc. is a leading provider of field services for remote expeditions. We specialize in planning, logistics, and support for scientific research and exploration in challenging environments. Our work enables groundbreaking discoveries in some of the most remote places on Earth.

What You'll Experience:

  • Remote Living: Be part of a small, tight-knit team of 5 at the isolated Summit Station.

  • Isolation & Immersion: Experience true isolation with no flights in or out during the winter months.

  • Travel Adventure: Fly internationally to Iceland and then take a Twin Otter flight to Summit Station.

  • Comprehensive Training: Participate in a week-long, in-person training session in Denver prior to deployment.

Are you ready to trade the hustle and bustle for the tranquility of the Arctic?

Responsibilities:

As a Field Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the infrastructure and equipment at Summit Station. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Repair and maintenance of field equipment, including trail markers and Skiway markers.

  • Inventory management and supply ordering.

  • Food inventory management.

  • General maintenance and support tasks.

  • Adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental protocols.

  • Adapting to a flexible work schedule based on weather and operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of documented experience working in a remote environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent repair skills.

  • Valid passport.

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team.

Work Schedule:

This is a seasonal position requiring deployment to Summit Station, Greenland. Your schedule will be flexible based on weather and work requirements, with occasional additional hours as needed.

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay of $1,227 - $1,500 per week.

  • Health and welfare benefit of $4.22/hour for the first 40 hours worked each week.
