JOB SUMMARY

The Application Integrator provides technical integration, implementation, customization, and sustainment support for Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) products in support of the J37-SOJTF/MSE and other J37 Division activities, as required. The position also provides Site Content and data management support to ensure applications, information, and supporting systems are properly configured, maintained, and available to support planning and operational requirements.

The Application Integrator supports all phases of solution planning, evaluation, implementation, customization, testing, training, deployment, production, and follow-on sustainment. This position serves as an on-site technical resource for web-, cloud-, and server-based applications and provides technical and operational support for video teleconference (VTC) systems used in planning, coordination, and operational activities.

The Application Integrator works closely with Government personnel, system owners, users, vendors, and other technical stakeholders to identify requirements, recommend solutions, resolve technical issues, and ensure systems and applications effectively support mission requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Application Integration and Technical Support

  • Provide on-site implementation, integration, configuration, and customization of COTS and GOTS applications and systems.
  • Integrate web-, cloud-, and server-based applications within existing Government technical environments.
  • Configure and customize applications to support Government operational, planning, workflow, and information-sharing requirements.
  • Evaluate existing and proposed applications for functionality, compatibility, integration requirements, and suitability for mission needs.
  • Support application installation, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, upgrades, patches, and production implementation.
  • Troubleshoot application, configuration, integration, connectivity, and user-related issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate technical personnel.
  • Identify technical limitations, dependencies, risks, and integration issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Support application interfaces, data exchanges, workflows, and interoperability between systems.
  • Maintain technical documentation related to system configurations, application changes, integrations, processes, and operating procedures.

Solution Planning and Implementation

  • Support all phases of solution planning, evaluation, implementation, testing, training, production deployment, and sustainment.
  • Work with Government stakeholders to identify operational requirements and translate those requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Provide recommendations regarding application capabilities, implementation approaches, system enhancements, and technology solutions.
  • Assist with the development of implementation plans, deployment schedules, testing procedures, user documentation, and training materials.
  • Coordinate implementation activities with Government personnel, vendors, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Support user acceptance testing and validation prior to production deployment.
  • Provide post-implementation support and recommend system or process improvements based on operational requirements and user feedback.

COTS/GOTS Product Management and Sustainment

  • Maintain working knowledge of COTS and GOTS products used or considered for use by the J37-SOJTF/MSE and J37 Division.
  • Understand applicable software licensing requirements, maintenance agreements, vendor support requirements, renewal schedules, and follow-on sustainment needs.
  • Monitor licensing and support requirements and identify upcoming renewals, expirations, or other actions necessary to maintain system availability.
  • Assist the Government in evaluating licensing models, sustainment requirements, product capabilities, and support alternatives.
  • Provide technical information and recommendations to support Government procurement, renewal, maintenance, or replacement decisions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and Government personnel, as authorized, to resolve product support and licensing issues.
  • Identify lifecycle, obsolescence, compatibility, and sustainment concerns and recommend appropriate courses of action.

Site Content and Data Management

  • Provide Site Content and data management support for the J37-SOJTF/MSE and other J37 Division activities, as required.
  • Create, update, organize, maintain, and manage site content and associated data within designated applications and platforms.
  • Ensure content is accurate, current, appropriately structured, and accessible to authorized users.
  • Support content migration, data organization, metadata management, permissions, document libraries, workflows, and information repositories.
  • Assist users with content management processes, application functionality, and data-related requirements.
  • Maintain established naming conventions, version control, records management practices, and other Government-defined content management standards.
  • Support data quality and integrity by identifying outdated, duplicate, incomplete, or improperly maintained content and coordinating corrective action.

Training and User Support

  • Provide application and system training to Government personnel and other authorized users.
  • Develop and maintain user guides, quick-reference materials, standard operating procedures, training materials, and technical documentation.
  • Provide individual and group instruction on application functionality, workflows, system capabilities, and approved processes.
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to users.
  • Communicate technical concepts and system functionality effectively to both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Identify recurring user issues and recommend training, configuration, or process improvements.

Video Teleconference (VTC) Support

  • Operate and provide technical support for VTC systems in support of Government planning, coordination, meetings, briefings, and operational initiatives.
  • Configure and test VTC equipment and associated systems prior to scheduled events.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, audio, video, display, and related technical issues.
  • Coordinate with Government communications, network, and technical support personnel when additional support is required.
  • Maintain working knowledge of VTC technologies, equipment, processes, and operating procedures used within the supported environment.

Documentation, Coordination, and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, application integrations, technical procedures, licensing information, support requirements, and implemented changes.
  • Track technical issues, actions, recommendations, and resolutions, as required.
  • Participate in technical meetings, planning sessions, working groups, demonstrations, testing events, and operational coordination activities.
  • Provide technical status updates, recommendations, and other information to Government and program leadership.
  • Comply with applicable Government cybersecurity, information assurance, configuration management, change management, records management, and system access requirements.
  • Protect Government systems, information, credentials, and data in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other application integration, technical, content management, and mission-support duties in support of the J37-SOJTF/MSE and J37 Division, as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong knowledge of application integration, implementation, configuration, and customization concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting COTS and/or GOTS applications.
  • Knowledge of web-based, cloud-based, and server-based application environments.
  • Experience with application deployment, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, upgrades, and sustainment.
  • Knowledge of software licensing, maintenance, vendor support, and application lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Site Content, data management, document repositories, or content management systems.
  • Ability to analyze operational requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex application and integration issues and coordinate technical resolution.
  • Working knowledge of VTC systems, technologies, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Ability to develop technical documentation, procedures, user guides, and training materials.
  • Ability to effectively train and support users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred. Relevant technical experience, education, certifications, or training may be considered in lieu of a degree where permitted by contract requirements.
  • Experience with application integration, systems implementation, application administration, or related information technology support required.
  • Experience supporting Government or Department of Defense environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting mission planning, operational, or command environments preferred.
  • Experience with COTS/GOTS implementation and sustainment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with content management systems, collaborative platforms, web applications, cloud environments, and VTC technologies preferred.

SECURITY AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess and maintain the security clearance and/or eligibility required by the contract and assigned work location.
  • Must maintain required system, network, facility, and application access.
  • Must comply with all applicable Government, customer, Company, cybersecurity, information assurance, and security requirements.
  • May be required to obtain or maintain applicable technical certifications based on contract or Government requirements.
  • Must be able to work on-site at the designated Government facility and support mission requirements during established operating hours.
  • May be required to provide support outside normal business hours based on mission or operational requirements.
