Job Alert information

What are job alerts?

Job Alerts are notifications sent to individuals when new job postings that match their specified criteria become available. These alerts are typically delivered via email, SMS, or through job search platforms and help job seekers stay updated on opportunities relevant to their skills and preferences. By setting up job alerts, candidates can be among the first to apply for new positions, increasing their chances of securing interviews. Most major job boards and company career pages offer this feature for free.

How can I set up effective job alerts to maximize my chances of finding relevant job opportunities?

To make the most of job alerts, tailor your search criteria by specifying job titles, locations, industries, and experience levels that match your interests and qualifications. Regularly review and update your alert settings to ensure you receive the most relevant postings. Many platforms also allow you to set frequency preferences, so choose daily or instant notifications to stay ahead of new postings. Additionally, use multiple job boards and company career pages for broader coverage. Monitoring and refining your alerts can help you respond quickly to new opportunities and improve your job search outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a job alert specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Job Alert specialist, you typically need a background in human resources or recruitment, strong research abilities, and knowledge of job market trends. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), job boards, and database management tools is essential for managing and distributing job postings efficiently. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and customer service skills help you understand client needs and deliver tailored alerts. These competencies ensure timely and accurate job notifications, connecting qualified candidates with suitable opportunities and supporting effective hiring processes.

Starting Wage $20.28/hr. - $22.33/hr.

3 Days/wk

Overnight (NOC) Front Desk Receptionist / First Responder
Are you an experienced overnight professional who is dependable, alert, and comfortable being the person others can count on during nighttime hours?
Touchmark is seeking an Overnight (NOC) Front Desk Receptionist / First Responder to join our team. Previous experience successfully working overnight, NOC, graveyard, or similar shifts is strongly preferred.
This is more than a traditional front desk position. Our overnight team member must remain alert, responsive, and comfortable working independently, while helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment for our residents.
What You’ll Do
  • Answer and monitor phone lines and professionally assist residents, visitors, families, and staff.
  • Assist residents with transportation requests, guest reservations, dining and life enrichment sign-ups.
  • Monitor medical alert systems and promptly follow emergency-response protocols.
  • Act as a First Responder during emergencies and escort emergency personnel to the appropriate location when needed.
  • Monitor and cover the interior and exterior areas of our campus throughout the overnight shift.
  • Respond quickly to resident needs, emergencies, and unexpected situations.
  • Operate company vans, trucks, and golf carts as needed.
  • Communicate important overnight incidents and concerns to the appropriate team members.
This is an active position that may require prolonged walking and standing, as well as the ability to move quickly throughout our campus when responding to an emergency.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has previous overnight/NOC shift experience and understands the importance of remaining alert and dependable throughout the night;
  • Is warm, friendly, professional, and comfortable working independently;
  • Is at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Has a valid Washington driver’s license and clean driving record;
  • Enjoys working with older adults;
  • Is willing and able to act as a First Responder;
  • Can remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies;
  • Is dependable, works well with others, and maintains a positive attitude;
  • Is able to walk or stand for prolonged periods; and
  • Is willing to work weekends and holidays.
Benefits
Touchmark offers employees working 30+ hours per week a competitive benefits package, including:
  • Paid time off, including holidays
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Education assistance
  • Bonus and retirement plans
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Employee Resource Program
  • Supplemental insurance options
If you have proven overnight experience, enjoy helping others, and can be counted on to remain attentive and responsive throughout the night, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today!
