POSITION OVERVIEW:
The High Jewelry Manager will be responsible for driving the strategic development and enhancement of the High Jewelry business within South Coast Plaza. This role provides specialized knowledge and tactical support to elevate High Jewelry sales performance, client engagement, and product positioning. The High Jewelry Manager will be a key resource in fostering a community of High Jewelry expertise, ensuring the highest level of understanding and storytelling around our unique collections.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
High Jewelry Sales & Business Development
  • Contribute strategic insights to the High Jewelry business, working collaboratively with South Coast Plaza Leadership, Client Relations, and sales teams to develop and execute effective client engagement strategies for HNW clients.
  • Partner with the Client Relations team to assess South Coast Plaza's needs and proactively propose innovative methods, tools, and assets to enrich the High Jewelry client journey.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and High Jewelry teams to meet and exceed client needs and expectations as it relates to High Jewelry assortment.
  • Provide expert guidance and support during High Jewelry client appointments, offering bespoke product presentations and storytelling that illuminates the artistry and craftsmanship of each piece.
  • Act as a trusted High Jewelry advisor to Client Advisors, assisting in the preparation for client interactions and guiding strategies for long-term client relationship development.

Developing a Community of High Jewelry Experts
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Tiffany High Jewelry, providing in-depth knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, jewelry designs, craftsmanship, and historical context to inform sales strategies and client interactions.
  • Initiate the creation of a community of High Jewelry Experts with strong knowledge on stones and jewelry making, yet with strong ability to story tell around the collection.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of a structured training plan, including timelines and expectations, to empower this community of experts to confidently support High Jewelry sales interactions as knowledgeable resources.

  • In partnership with South Coast Plaza Leadership, identify and engage internal and external profiles who could contribute to and benefit from this High Jewelry expert community.
  • Constantly seek new and creative opportunities to engage and nurture this community by facilitating exposure, providing expert support, and ensuring continuous learning to keep them engaged and up to date with the latest industry insights.

Qualifications
  • 8 years of experience in High Jewelry
  • Qualification in gemology (GG level preferred)
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a budget and support local initiatives
  • Luxury Watch and Jewelry industry experience
  • Previous experience in a client relations/client facing role

Performance Measures and Scope of Role
  • Tangible contribution to the growth of High Jewelry sales and client retention through expert support, strategic input, and enhanced client experiences.
  • Successful establishment and ongoing cultivation of a recognized community of High Jewelry experts, contributing to elevated product knowledge and storytelling capabilities across client-facing teams.
  • Effectiveness in serving as a primary resource for High Jewelry expertise, influencing product positioning and client engagement strategies.

The hiring range for this position ranges from $122,485 - $172,920. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates' relevant skills and experience.
