The City of Brentwood, the jewel of Contra Costa County, is one of the Bay Area's fastest growing and most dynamic communities. In addition to being an empathetic and kind leader, the ideal candidate will have strong public sector human resources and risk management skills. The ability to wear multiple hats and to effectively triage and solve a variety of complex HR issues is critical. Requires the equivalent completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human resources management, business or public administration, industrial psychology, or a related field and eight years of increasingly responsible municipal human resources experience including three years of administrative and management experience in a variety of human resources disciplines. Professional human resources certifications such as IPMA-SCP, SHRM-SCP, RMP, and RIMS-CRMP are desirable.
The annual salary range for this at-will position is $222,640 - $270,621, depending on qualifications and experience. The City offers an outstanding benefits package that includes 6.35% management incentive pay, deferred compensation contribution matching, fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for the employee with significant contributions towards family premiums, and a generous paid leave program.
