Job description

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Production Area Lead, the Wax Finisher position is accountable for:

  • Responsible for the final finishing of wax and wax/plastic patterns. Three main areas of responsibility accomplish this: removing flash; repair defects; and smooth blends
  • Repair defects in pattern assemblies without changing either the contour or the shape of the pattern by using wax as the filling material
  • Dressing of pour cups
  • Attach finished pattern to tree and attach pour cup to pattern gating
  • If performing gating work, assembly of plastic or wax cross arms and vent plugs must be completed
  • Reporting by data entry of finished piece into computer inventory system
  • Preparation of cores (if working on IGT patterns)
  • Blue sealing if working on plastic/wax patterns

Organization Location: 3960 S Marginal Rd, Cleveland, OH 44114

Shift Schedule: 9pm - 5:30am, All shifts are Sunday – Thursday

Salary: $20 /hr.


Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team

While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing PPE (personal protection equipment). Following all basic safety precautions will reduce risk of potential injury. This position requires anywhere from light to moderate physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, as well as some lifting.
