Product Analyst – Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) / Automation Role

Job at a Glance:
Title: WES Product Analyst (DATUM Preferred)
Location: Hybrid, Lake Buena Vista, FL (4 days onsite), WFH Fridays
Contract: W2 only, 12 months with potential for extension or conversion
Pay:$70-80/hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview

The Product Analyst will support the ongoing optimization of Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) and automated warehouse operations. This role is focused on process mapping, requirements development, system integration, and warehouse automation, working closely with product, technical, operations, automation, and vendor teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Mapping Document current-state warehouse and automation processes
  • Define and map future-state workflows
  • Identify gaps between warehouse operations, WMS processes, WES functionality, and automated equipment
  • Requirements & Story Development Gather business and operational requirements from stakeholders
  • Write clear user stories
  • Define acceptance criteria
  • Support backlog refinement and prioritization discussions
  • WES & Warehouse Automation Support Participate in functional discussions around WES capabilities
  • Support integrations between WMS, WES, and warehouse automation
  • Work with automation and technology teams to align system functionality with operational needs
  • Support ongoing system enhancements and optimization
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with: Product Managers, Technical Leads, Warehouse Operations, Automation / Controls teams, Equipment and technology vendors
  • Facilitate working sessions and translate operational and automation needs into structured product changes
Required Skills
  • Experience with a Warehouse Execution System (WES), Warehouse Control System (WCS), or similar warehouse automation technology
  • Experience supporting automated warehouse/distribution center operations
  • Understanding of automation such as conveyors, sortation, ASRS, material handling equipment, or similar systems
  • Experience mapping business and operational processes
  • Experience gathering requirements and/or writing user stories
  • Ability to contribute to functional system and integration discussions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or similar field — or equivalent work experience
Required Education
  • Bachelor''s Degree or 17 years of experience 
Preferred Skills
  • DATUM WES experience
  • Experience working with DCS (Decision Control Systems)
  • Experience integrating WES/WCS with Blue Yonder, JDA/RedPrairie, or another enterprise WMS
  • Experience with conveyor and material handling automation
  • Experience supporting large-scale automated distribution centers
  • Experience working directly with warehouse automation vendors
