Job description

The Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches is looking for dedicated Lifeguards in our Palm Beach Gardens location! If you are an experienced lifeguard, and love working with people of all ages, especially kids, this may be the perfect job for you!

Looking to fill multiple lifeguard positions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create a safe, positive swimming/swim instruction experience for all age groups in and around the JCC aquatic complex while always ensuring safety.
  • Supervision of members and guests, swim lesson development and execution, cleaning, policy enforcement,
  • Event set up/break down and various other duties associated with the aquatic complex operations.
  • Maintain positive, courteous, and professional relationships with all JCC staff, professional staff from other related agencies and the greater community.
  • Ensure the safety of swim team/ lesson members, performing lifesaving and/ or first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Enforce team rules and policies as well as pool rules and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current certification as an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
  • Current Certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer are required.
  • Current certifications in the following are preferred: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training and First Aid
