Job description

Cornerstone Capital Bank is searching for a Salesforce Developer II! The Salesforce Developer II independently delivers end-to-end Salesforce enhancements and integrations, translating business requirements into scalable solutions. This role emphasizes strong technical execution, quality engineering practices, and proactive collaboration across product, admin, integration, and marketing operations teams-leveraging Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud capabilities to enable personalization, segmentation, and activation across channels.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Core Salesforce Engineering
• Design and implement medium-to-large enhancements using a balanced approach of declarative + programmatic capabilities.
• Build, optimize, and maintain solutions using Apex, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Flow, and platform features.
• Apply engineering best practices:
• Bulkification, governor limit management, async patterns
• Secure coding (CRUD/FLS checks, sharing)
• Meaningful unit tests, test data strategy, regression awareness
• Participate in technical estimation, solution breakdown, and dependency identification during planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues with root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
2. Integrations (Including Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud Environment)
• Develop and maintain integrations with external systems and Salesforce ecosystem products, including:
• REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, async patterns, middleware
• Authentication patterns (OAuth flows), resilient error handling, and monitoring
• Implement and support Marketing Cloud integrations, such as:
• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Connect patterns (where applicable) and data synchronization between CRM and SFMC
• Data extensions alignment with CRM objects and business processes
• Triggering marketing events from CRM (e.g., lead lifecycle milestones, case status changes) through integration patterns
• Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to enable SFMC use cases by supporting:
• Audience/segment inputs, personalization data needs, and event capture requirements
• Operational readiness for sends (data quality checks, field mappings, suppression logic, preference management integration points)
3. Data Cloud (Foundational Build & Activation Support)
• Contribute to Data Cloud enablement by supporting:
• Ingestion design participation (source alignment, identifiers, mapping to business concepts)
• Data quality and governance requirements for downstream segmentation/activation
• Building or supporting activation pathways (e.g., making CRM data available for segmentation and enabling segment outcomes in business processes)
• Work with architects/admins to ensure solutions align with enterprise security, privacy, and consent policies.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Strong communication skills; ability to translate business needs into technical designs.
• Salesforce certifications (one or more): Platform Developer I, App Builder, JavaScript Developer I, Administrator
• Exposure to Marketing Cloud (Email Studio/Journey Builder/Automation Studio) and/or SFMC APIs.
• Exposure to Data Cloud concepts (identity, segmentation, activation) and data integration patterns.
Required Experience
• This position requires 2-5 years of experience in Salesforce development experience (or equivalent) delivering production solutions.
• Strong hands-on ability in:
• Apex (classes, triggers, async Apex), LWC, SOQL optimization
• Declarative automation strategy (when to use Flow vs Apex)
• Source control and modern deployment practices (Git, pipelines or equivalent)
• Experience integrating Salesforce with at least one external system using APIs or middleware patterns.
• Working familiarity with Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud concepts (data extensions, contact model basics, automation/journey concepts) and how they relate to CRM data.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, scratch orgs, unlocked packages, CI/CD.
• Experience with Sales/Service/Experience Cloud implementations and related security/data models.
