Job description

Join the AWS Elastic Container Registry (ECR) team as a Front-End Engineer! We're looking for a customer-obsessed builder to help evolve the web console experience for one of AWS's fastest-growing container services. ECR serves millions of container image pulls daily, and you'll build the interfaces that help customers manage their container registries, repositories, images, and security configurations.
You will contribute to the ECR console across private registry management, repository permissions, public gallery experiences. You'll work closely with backend service engineers, UX designers, and product managers to deliver intuitive, performant, and accessible experiences that make container image management effortless for customers of all skill levels.
Key job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the ECR console and public gallery using React, TypeScript, and AWS console frameworks (CloudScape/Starport)
- Build and deliver front-end features including permissions management, replication configuration and image scanning workflows
- Drive front-end operational excellence: performance monitoring, error tracking, accessibility compliance, and cross-browser testing
- Collaborate with service teams on API design to ensure console experiences are performant and resilient
- Participate in technical design reviews for front-end features, contributing to trade-off discussions between customer experience, implementation complexity, and operational cost
- Contribute to code reviews, share front-end best practices, and help raise the engineering bar
- Triage issues impacting console availability.
- Contribute to cross-team console platform initiatives and share learnings across AWS console teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
