Job description

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What You’ll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Adoption, Insights & Services

Location: Tempe, AZ

Anticipated Start Date: August or September 2026

Contract Duration: 12 months

Work Hours: 20 to 40 hours; Flexible around class schedule

As an SAP iXp Intern on the Adoption Insights & Services (AIS) team, you’ll help SAP customers get more value from the software they already own. Working alongside experienced service and analytics colleagues, you’ll turn raw usage data into the measurements, documentation, and insights behind our Premium Adoption and Insight Services.

Day to day, you’ll analyze customer contracts, prepare tailored measurement documentation, and automate steps that are manual today. You’ll build targeted analytics that inform real business decisions, test new metering capabilities, and help extend our adoption and insight tooling across SAP BTP and AI scenarios.

It’s an unusual mix of customer-facing service work and hands-on internal product development — a strong fit if you’re drawn to analytics, customer success, and building technical solutions people actually use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting & Analytics
    • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel, Power BI and SAP Joule that track customer adoption and consumption
    • Translate usage data into clear findings and recommendations for service teams and account stakeholders
    • Automate recurring reporting so the team spends its time on analysis rather than assembling data
  • Service Preparation & Data Validation
    • Review customer contracts and entitlement data to prepare accurate, customer-specific measurement documentation
    • Check metering and usage data for completeness and quality before it reaches the customer
    • Support consultants in preparing materials for Premium Adoption and Insight Service engagements
  • Tool Development & Testing
    • Test new metering capabilities and help evolve our suite of adoption and insight tools, including SAP BTP and AI scenarios
    • Contribute small scripts and automations that make recurring tasks faster and more reliable
  • Pipeline Review & Targeting (Analytics)
    • Analyze customer data to identify the accounts that would benefit most from an adoption or insight service
    • Maintain the engagement pipeline and track the status of upcoming and active service requests
    • Prepare data-driven targeting summaries that help the team decide where to invest
  • Administrative Support
    • Keep engagement records, trackers, and internal documentation accurate and up to date
    • Prepare presentation material and capture follow-ups for a globally distributed team
    • Help maintain onboarding and knowledge-sharing content for new joiners

What You’ll Bring

A curious and agile mindset, with a passion for learning and the resilience to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate ideas clearly and effectively. Emotional intelligence and cultural awareness that support inclusive teamwork and thoughtful stakeholder engagement. A growing foundation in business acumen and emerging technologies — especially artificial intelligence — paired with a results-oriented approach and the courage to take initiative.

Education: Information Technology, Business Informatics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.

Technical Skills

  • Confident working with data in Microsoft Excel and presenting it clearly in PowerPoint
  • Experience with an analytics tool such as Microsoft Power BI, or the drive to learn one quickly
  • Basic programming knowledge — for example Python, SQL, or JavaScript — is an advantage
  • A working understanding of SAP or cloud software is an advantage, not a requirement

Personal Attributes

  • A collaborative mindset and comfort working across cultures and time zones
  • Curiosity and innovative thinking — you look for the better way to do a repetitive task
  • Self-motivation and ownership; you can move work forward without being asked twice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail

Language Skills

  • Outstanding written and spoken English
  • Fluency in an additional language is a plus

You don’t need to tick every box. If you bring technical curiosity, analytical thinking, and clear communication, we’d like to hear from you.
