Job Summary:
 
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and execute test plans on closed course test tracks, and on road. You will be responsible for coordinating with engineers, prepping test vehicles, organizing test plans and schedules, executing and evaluating test vehicle performance, operating actor vehicles during testing, and providing support to the test operations team.
 
You will...
- Work with Waabi engineers to prepare test plans and vehicle systems for test evolutions.
- Coordinate and execute closed course and on road test plans. 
- Generate detailed test reports, documenting vehicle performance.
- Curate test schedules and coordinate testing resources.
- Collaborate with the operations team to maintain effective and timely communication between drivers, engineers, and additional company stakeholders.
- Support the operations team with vehicle system inspections, maintenance, and record-keeping.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at the facility.
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years experience in a test engineering or related autonomous vehicle development role.
- Experience with Linux command line and data logging tools.
- Python or MATLAB experience for data parsing/analysis.
- Experience leading test campaigns at major proving grounds.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of vehicle dynamics.
- Detailed knowledge of autonomous vehicle hardware and software.
- Proficient with systems engineering workflows and requirement V&V.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel. 
- Open-minded and collaborative team player with the willingness to help others.
- Passionate about being part of an organization solving self-driving technologies.
- Proving ground experience or Certifications is a plus.
The US yearly salary range for this role is: $90,000 - $137,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi US Inc.'s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Note: The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including discretionary equity incentive awards and discretionary annual performance bonus.
