SAP BTP-UI5 Senior Developer

Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)

Duration: 18 Months

Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using SAP UI5 on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ensuring adherence to SAP best practices for performance, usability, and accessibility as well as ITD practices and guidelines.
  • Develop high-quality code and associated documentation, while conducting quality assurance techniques such as peer code reviews.
  • Optimize performance and user experience, while also ensuring compatibility across various devices and browsers.
  • Provide comprehensive SAP support, including analysis, development, testing, tracking, and resolution of issues.
  • Offer technical expertise for system design, implementation, and support, collaborating with SAP Functional Analysts to define acceptance criteria for business requirements (user stories).
  • Work closely with business analysts, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to confirm requirements, create prototypes, and integrate UI5 applications with SAP backend services and APIs.
  • Assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications.
  • Assist in resolving production support incidents, suggesting alternative approaches as necessary.
  • Stay updated on SAP cloud development best practices and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Availability for periodic evening and weekend work as project demands require.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in software development domain.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in UI5 and SAP-BTP in multi-modular and multi-system SAP implementations.
  • 2+ full lifecycles SAP S4/HANA implementations.
  • SAP Cloud developer certifications is a must.
  • Familiarity with Agile Software Development methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture and integration patterns.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or Groovy script.
  • Knowledge of various integration protocols and technologies, such as REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, XML, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their integration capabilities with SAP systems.
  • Experience in the SAP ABAP programming language is a plus.
  • Experience in SAP CPI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the capability to prioritize tasks and support multiple project teams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results within project deadlines.
  • Experience with test automation tools is a plus.
