Job Description:
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive development initiatives across a customer-facing financial wellness platform while serving as a hands-on technical leader across enterprise engineering initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead development initiatives across a customer-facing platform
  • Build and support scalable applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS
  • Own technical delivery from requirements gathering through deployment and production support
  • Serve as the technical lead across multiple engineering initiatives and stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with Product, UX, Engineering Managers, and cross-functional teams
  • Drive architecture and design discussions involving APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven workflows
  • Break down complex technical and delivery challenges into actionable solutions
  • Mentor engineers and guide collaborative technical problem-solving efforts
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and engineering best practices discussions
  • Support production operations, observability, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Improve engineering quality, delivery execution, and overall team effectiveness
  • Balance approximately 80% hands-on engineering work with 20% leadership responsibilities
Minimum Requirements:
  • 10 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on frontend engineering experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Strong backend engineering experience with Node.js
  • Experience building APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures/CDC workflows
  • Experience working within AWS cloud environments
  • Experience owning technical delivery from requirements through production support
  • Strong enterprise product engineering mindset
  • Experience collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders in enterprise environments
  • Proven technical leadership and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving scalable technical solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
