Agile Developer 3 - (Java, Spring Boot, Python)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Description

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Write Java Spring Boot based microservice applications utilizing AWS native technologies
  • Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
  • Build REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
  • Implement CI/CD principles utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
  • Agile develop and deliver software
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders
Required Skills
  • Write Java Spring Boot based microservice applications utilizing AWS native technologies
  • Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3

Salary Range

$201k – $245k (Annually)

The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Benefits

We offer 24 days PTO accrued annually, 11 federal holidays, 401(k) with 100% vesting on start date and a direct contribution worth 10% of salary. Akina covers 100% of healthcare costs for employees and 50% toward dependents. We provide educational assistance for job‑related training and certifications.
