Overview

The IT Analyst Developer plays a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining technology solutions that support manufacturing operations, production systems, and enterprise applications. This role involves working closely with production, engineering, and business teams to ensure seamless integration between shop-floor systems, ERP platforms, and corporate IT systems.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Ability to lead without authority and foster a teamwork environment

Develop, customize, and maintain applications that support production tracking, quality control, inventory management, and reporting.

Design system integrations between factory systems, ERP platforms, and data analytics tools.

Write, test, and deploy code using appropriate programming languages (e.g., X++, C#, .NET, Python, SQL, Java).

Implement and maintain APIs and automation scripts for data exchange between systems.

Integrate applications with third-party systems, APIs, and databases.

Conduct unit testing, system testing, and integration testing to ensure application quality.

Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Ensure compliance with data protection standards.

Provide ongoing technical support for developed systems and applications.

Monitor application performance and implement improvements or patches.

Participate in after-hours support rotation if required for critical production systems.

Consistently acts in accordance with business professionalism principles including during business hours, at company events, meetings, off-site meetings, audits, etc.

Consistently provides professional business communications to internal and external customers, staff, peers and company leadership.

Continuous Improvement:

Participate in or lead IT-related projects in the manufacturing domain (e.g., MES upgrades, ERP enhancements, system migrations).

Contribute to Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives by leveraging automation, IoT, and data analytics technologies.

Recommend new technologies and practices to improve system efficiency, scalability, and security.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3-5+ years of experience in software development or IT systems analysis.\ preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Has assisted in migration to new ERP system, cloud environment.

Previous experience in production environment required

MRP or ERP system experience AX2009/AX2012 highly preferred

Microsoft SQL Server/SSRS, Power BI

Aviation background preferred
