To thrive as a Java Software Engineer Contractor, you need strong proficiency in Java programming, experience with software development lifecycles, and typically a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with tools such as Spring Framework, Git, Maven, and cloud platforms, as well as knowledge of unit testing frameworks, is highly valued.
