The Impact You'll Make in this Role
As a Software Quality Engineer/Analyst on the Reimbursement component development team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
• Assessing specifications and requirements for consistency and accuracy.
• Creating and maintaining test suites to provide full coverage of component logic paths and calculations, ensuring software implementations meet design/logic specifications.
• Executing test cases (both manual and automated), analyze testcase execution to identify abnormalities and report defects.
• Designing, developing, and maintaining tools for generating tests, running tests, and comparing and analyzing results, always with automation in mind.
• Delivering test suites to clients on-schedule while ensuring the highest degree of accuracy.
• Participating in "Agile" team planning sessions to identify dependency chain and task breakdown, providing estimates and outline test approach.
• Supporting clients by investigating and addressing concerns, providing tests and collaborating when necessary.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university AND Four (4) years of Experience in software development.
OR
High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of Ten (10) years of experience in the software development in lieu of the bachelor's degree education requirement.
AND
• Three (3) years of experience creating software quality and/or data processing tests.
• Experience testing applications that are implemented using JAVA, SQL, JSON Technology.
• Experience working with an "Agile" team using Scrum Framework.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
• Experience analyzing and working with large sets of data (e.g. healthcare claims, insurance claims, financial transactions, etc.,)
• Three (3) years plus experience testing applications or java jars/libraries with no user interface using JSON and CSV datasets.
• Two (2) years of experience with healthcare related data (claims and billing, healthcare informatics, inpatient and outpatient data) and HIPAA requirements.
• Demonstrable proficiency using automation frameworks such as Selenium, Junit, TestNG, PyTest, etc.
• Experience writing test scripts using Java or Python and SQL.
• Ability to create test preparation documents and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency with an IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ, Visual Studio) for debugging, code completion, searching, performance metrics, etc.
• Proficiency with software configuration management concepts (source control, build automation, e.g. GIT, Jenkins, Maven or Ant).
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other agentic AIs in development process.
• Experience with health information systems.
• Familiarity with health care claims processing software and/or clinical classification methodologies is highly desirable.
• Ability to take initiative, understand the code and suggest improvements to design that enhances the overall system performance.
• Familiarity with the Agile Scrum development methodology.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with customers.
