The ideal candidate will have strong experience in end-to-end Java application development, big data engineering, and performance optimization and a proven ability to design, build, and migrate applications to strategic platforms and target architectures. Responsibilities: Deliver hands-on application development across current and target processes. Partner with technology teams to implement target architecture and migrate to strategic platforms. Design and optimize data pipelines for streaming, batch, and API-based ingestion. Load and manage large datasets in Hadoop and compute complex logic on Spark platforms. Perform performance profiling, tuning, and memory optimization for data-intensive applications. Lead and mentor engineering team members and support Agile delivery practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: 9+ years of end-to-end Java application development. Strong Core Java, including multithreading, Collections, JDBC, and Java profiling tools. Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate. Computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms. Expertise in performance tuning of data-intensive applications and memory optimization. Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and data integration/ETL tools. Big data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, or Flink. Experience discovering, ingesting, and incorporating real-time, streaming, batch, and API-based data. Skills to optimize data pipelines and queries for performance and scalability. Problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex data engineering issues. Leadership and mentoring experience. Excellent communication skills. BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline from a reputed university. Background in enterprise stress testing and knowledge of credit, operational, and market risk. Preferred Skills: Experience in Hadoop or other distributed big data ecosystems.
