Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with Aladdin Enterprise experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing front office systems with Java, Python, and SQL, along with a strong background in fixed income and portfolio/trading model construction. The candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mentality to thrive in our fast-moving and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Front Office Systems Development: Utilize Python and Java expertise to develop front office systems, focusing on fixed income instruments, portfolio management, and trading model construction.
  2. Data Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of datasets from financial data providers such as Bloomberg, MSCI, ICE, JPM, S&P, Moodys Reuters, etc., and utilize this data to inform decision-making and model construction.
  3. Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
  4. Proactive Mentality: Take ownership of tasks and projects, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and driving initiatives to enhance business outcomes.
  5. SDLC Tools: Leverage extensive knowledge and experience with SDLC tools such as Git, Jira, Docker, Jenkins, etc., to streamline development processes and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  6. AWS Cloud Experience: Utilize AWS cloud services to build scalable and reliable solutions, leveraging cloud-native technologies to enhance performance and efficiency.
  7. Investment Universe Customization: Customize investment universes and conduct backtesting to evaluate portfolio strategies and trading models.
  8. Front Office End-User Support: Provide direct support to front office end-users, including Portfolio Managers (PM) and Quantitative Analysts (Quant), to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  9. Microservices Development: Build microservices architecture using the Spring Boot framework to enable modular and scalable application development.
  10. Web Application Development: Utilize React.js to build web applications with modern user interfaces and responsive designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in developing front office systems with Java, Python, and SQL.
  • Strong fixed income knowledge and experience in portfolio and trading model construction.
  • In-depth knowledge of datasets from financial data providers such as Bloomberg, MSCI, ICE, JPM, S&P, Moodys Reuters, etc.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
  • Proactive mentality with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with SDLC tools such as Git, Jira, Docker, Jenkins, etc.
  • AWS cloud experience, including familiarity with cloud-native services and technologies.
  • Experience in investment universe customization and backtesting.
  • Direct experience supporting front office end-users (PM, Quant).
  • Experience with building microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
