Position Overview

Quevera is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Test Engineer 0 to support mission-critical systems at Ft. Meade, MD. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates with a technical degree and a strong desire to learn, grow, and build a career in systems and software testing within the Intelligence Community.

The Test Engineer 0 will work under the guidance of senior engineers to assist with system testing, integration, and validation activities, while learning best practices in test planning, execution, automation, and CI/CD-enabled environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support installation, integration, and testing of operational equipment and software
  • Assist in executing manual test cases and documenting test results
  • Support system integration testing efforts for small to medium components
  • Learn and apply test methodologies, tools, and processes used in mission environments
  • Assist with test data collection, basic analysis, and defect documentation
  • Participate in automated testing efforts and gain exposure to test frameworks and scripting
  • Support Linux-based environments and gain experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Collaborate with senior test engineers, developers, and systems engineers to improve system quality
  • Follow established engineering standards, security requirements, and testing procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related discipline)
  • Four (4) years of work experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Strong interest in software testing, systems engineering, or quality assurance
  • Willingness and ability to learn testing tools, automation frameworks, and scripting languages
  • Basic understanding of software development concepts and operating systems
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in a secure, mission-focused environment

  • Exposure to Linux or Unix-based systems
