Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Java Developer with 6โ€“7 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development and strong experience supporting Child Support Services or Human Services programs. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Java-based technologies, modern development frameworks, system integration, and Agile delivery environments.
This role involves designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining mission-critical applications supporting Child Support Services programs and related public sector initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • ย Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java-based enterprise applicationsย 
  • ย Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutionsย 
  • ย Support modernization and enhancement initiatives for Child Support Services systemsย 
  • ย Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and system integrationsย 
  • ย Participate in full SDLC activities including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and production supportย 
  • ย Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidentsย 
  • ย Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standardsย 
  • ย Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesย 
  • ย Support database design, queries, and optimization effortsย 
  • ย Create technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer activitiesย 
Required Qualifications
  • ย 6โ€“7 years of experience in Java developmentย 
  • ย Experience working on Child Support Services, Human Services, or Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES) projectsย 
  • ย Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST APIsย 
  • ย Experience with microservices architecture and web servicesย 
  • ย Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQLย 
  • ย Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelinesย 
  • ย Familiarity with Agile development methodologiesย 
  • ย Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsย 
Preferred Qualifications
  • ย Experience working with state or government agenciesย 
  • ย Knowledge of Child Support Enforcement systems and workflowsย 
  • ย Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azureย 
  • ย Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetesย 
  • ย Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular or React is a plus
