Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a certified Small Business Enterprise specializing in IT Consulting and Software solutions. The Technical Product Owner will be responsible for product roadmap development, requirements gathering, and backend integration, while also contributing to the development of mobile health features and next-generation technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Development of high-level solution design, for applications & systems and evaluations.
• Leads and/or participates in reviews of design concepts and creation of technical design documentation.
• Developing initial estimates for solution alternatives and making solution recommendations to the business area.
• Evaluations of existing applications for reuse and sharing in the enterprise.
• Integrated systems planning and alternative technologies recommendation.
• Plans, coordinates and conducts the analysis of current business processes and functional requirements and creating needed documentation.
• Participates or acts as a project lead in the coordination of solution development and implementation.
• Being a liaison between business clients and technical staff and/or with development staff throughout the development life cycle on complex projects
• Participate in integrated systems planning and recommend alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals.
• Initiate, identify and coordinate the analysis of complex client needs in project areas such as: new business operating models, innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment.
• Participate in the leadership of cross-functional and/or cross-divisional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.
• Develop the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support client business processes and functional requirements and resource costs.
• Consult on the identification and definition of solution alternatives within the frameworks provided by Enterprise Architecture.
• Identifies opportunities for solution sharing and reuse.
• Identifies and coordinates with other project managers and implements schedule deadlines as appropriate.
• Advises clients on the consequences of actions. Communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client.
• Participate in Enterprise Architecture integration, partnering and coordination activities.
Preferred:
• 5+ years Web Service design, development, and delivery experience
• 5+ Mobile Application development experience (Android, iOS, Hybrid & RWD Web App)
• 7+ years Distributed Application development
• 3+ years framework and reusable component development
• 2+ years Enterprise/Application architect experience
• 5+ years experience with software development methodologies. RUP, Agile, Waterfall
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Masters preferred
• Object Oriented Software development with Java, C#, or other OO languages
• Unix - Linux or Solaris
• IBM WebSphere Application Server
• Git, CVS, Subversion
• UML Modeling
• SOAP and REST web services (SOAP, WS-*, XML)
• Web Services Testing – (SOAPScope, SOAPUI, CA LISA, etc)
• VISIO, PowerPoint, Project
• Effective in an atmosphere of ambiguity.
• Must possess organizational proficiencies to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment under limited supervision.
• Must be highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.
• Must have strong problem solving skills.
• Experience with financial analysis and business justification.
• Ability to communicate and interact with various levels of an organization structure.
• Passionate about technology and willing to disrupt by exploring the leading edge.
• Ability to influence through partnership and collaboration.
• Ability to communicate complex technical solutions and concepts to leaders and business partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
