Product Engineering Software (PES)
As a Co-op in Product Engineering Software (PES), you will dive into developing our premiere Designcenter CAD software. You will have the opportunity to design, develop, modify, implement, and test software programming for products, with focus on surpassing customers' expectations by achieving high quality and on time delivery. You will also create, document, and execute software designs which may involve complicated workflows or multiple product areas. While you will work with general supervision on complex projects and have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers, it will also be important to act with independent judgment when necessary. Projects will focus on:
• Learn our software needs and functionality
• Use Siemens Designcenter CAD software for development work
• Experience with C++ and object-oriented programming
• Assist in maintaining our existing software product by analyzing and defining solutions to reported problems
• Ensure ongoing quality of our software product for our customers
Organization Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent)
  • Strong object-oriented programming skills in C++/C
  • Commanding grasp of C#, Python, Java, VBA, or Perl
  • Coursework or experience with AI is essential
  • Experience with computer-aided design or engineering software is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
  • Passion for design, engineering, and programming
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to continuously improve and learn about new areas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

You'll Benefit From
The hourly pay range for this position 18 - 50 per hour, based off of your projected graduation year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location. Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
