Shopify Ecommerce Experience Coordinator

We\'re looking for a Ecommerce Web Designer. Headquartered in Los Angeles, California, Right Balance provides top-tier technology talent for innovative companies in the US. We\’re in the top 50 companies to watch in LA.

Backed by partnerships with respected design-trade brands and run by a team of creatives and interior enthusiasts, they help customers turn houses into homes that reflect their lifestyle and personality; combining trade-level expertise with an easy, one-stop shopping experience.

Overview

We\'re looking for a Senior Ecommerce / Web Designer with a strong eye for detail and experience creating refined, premium digital experiences for ecommerce brands.The primary focus will be on refining and elevating an existing headless ecommerce website. Approximately 30–45% of the site has already been developed, so the ideal candidate will be someone who can take the existing foundation and add the visual finesse, polish, consistency, and ecommerce-focused details needed to create a high-end customer experience.The candidate should be highly detail-oriented, visually strong, and comfortable working within an existing technical environment alongside a developer.

Role context: The headless ecommerce website will be the immediate priority. The current site is approximately 30–45% developed, and the designer will focus on adding the necessary visual refinement and ecommerce-focused details to elevate the overall experience.The PWA will be a secondary focus, where the designer will initially audit the existing interface and identify opportunities to simplify and elevate the experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Refine and elevate the existing headless ecommerce website.
  • Improve layouts, content presentation, navigation, product experiences, and overall ecommerce usability.
  • Translate the existing development into a polished, premium, luxury-oriented customer experience.
  • Provide design recommendations while primarily refining and improving the existing direction.
  • Collaborate closely with the developer to ensure designs can be effectively implemented.
  • Review and evolve the existing component library/design system as needed.
  • Audit the existing PWA and identify opportunities to simplify and elevate the interface.
  • Maintain design consistency across the website, PWA, content, and customer-facing experiences.
  • Use AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to accelerate iteration and improve the design process.

  • Prior experience using HR systems, resources, and tools.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Slides).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating interviews across multiple time zones and stakeholder groups.
