Job description

Java Developer with OpenFGA experience Arlington, VA - hybrid (2 days a week onsite) Secret clearance is required to start Responsibilities: โ€ข Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native and containerized applications using Java and modern cloud technologies. โ€ข Work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-performance applications leveraging cloud native and cloud agnostic services. โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications using Java and cloud technologies. โ€ข Implement microservices architecture and develop RESTful APIs. โ€ข Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and ensure continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). โ€ข Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments. โ€ข Implement security best practices to protect cloud-native applications and data. โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application performance, reliability, and security. โ€ข Work with cross-functional teams, including architects, product managers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. โ€ข Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability. Requirements: โ€ข Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot. โ€ข Solid background designing and implementing RESTful APIs. โ€ข Experience with authorization systems, especially OpenFGA. โ€ข Proficiency with core AWS services. โ€ข Experience with cloud-native development and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with a strong preference for AWS. โ€ข Proficiency in building microservices and RESTful APIs using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot. โ€ข Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. โ€ข Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitLab. โ€ข Knowledge of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases. โ€ข Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments. โ€ข Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. โ€ข Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
