Job Summary

Client is seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Kafka testing, API automation, Microservices validation, and backend testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing scalable automation frameworks, validating event-driven architectures, and ensuring quality across distributed systems. This role requires close collaboration with development, DevOps, and business teams within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test suites for APIs, microservices, and event-driven applications.
  • Validate Kafka producer/consumer workflows and message integrity across distributed systems.
  • Perform API testing using REST Assured, Karate Framework, Postman, Swagger, and SoapUI.
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, Cucumber BDD, and Karate.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities.
  • Validate JSON/XML payloads and perform backend data verification.
  • Conduct database testing across Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, and DB2 environments.
  • Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, GitHub/GitLab.
  • Analyze logs and troubleshoot issues using Splunk and monitoring tools.
