The Opportunity:
Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact on national security? You understand your customer's environment and how to develop the right systems for their mission. You will work with a varied group of professionals to satisfy mission partner requirements. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution.
In this role, you will orchestrate the development of hardware and software systems through the entire lifecycle, from requirements determination through operations and system retirement, with an emphasis on cyber domain aspects of larger systems, risk or opportunity management, and tailoring of processes to meet the needs of the specific project. You will apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. You'll develop innovative solutions to complex problems and work without considerable direction. You'll also mentor and may supervise other team members.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience developing, integrating, testing, or sustaining software systems
  • Experience developing software using programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C#, or C++
  • Experience integrating software with APIs, databases, messaging systems, or external services
  • Experience using source control systems such as Git in collaborative development environments
  • Experience troubleshooting software defects and performance issues in Linux-based environments
  • Experience gathering technical requirements and translating them into software solutions
  • Experience supporting software development lifecycle activities, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a STEM field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting Department of War, Intelligence Community, or cyber mission environments
  • Experience building web applications, dashboards, or mission support tools
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices
  • Experience supporting DT&E or operational test environments
  • Experience developing tools for modeling, simulation, cyber operations, or mission planning

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
