JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Senior Analyst, Derivative Technology to play a key role, deliver solutions to our business partners, solve complex problems, and strive to advance and sustain world-class technology platforms. This individual must be a self-starter with a clear vision, and ability to execute on a variety of engagements across our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participating in architecting the firm's derivatives technology platform to optimize software structure and modularization
  • Build in data transparency and observability capabilities with coherent design patterns for integration with third party vendor tools
  • Manage and coordinate project-based efforts across teams consisting of investment professionals, developers, analysts, QAs, and other stakeholders
  • Champion the needs of the business partners; act as their fiduciary
  • Develop a deep understanding of internal systems and related workflows around entire investment process to help with solution design as well as handling support issues
  • Ensure quality of product by enforcing high standards in testing and building guardrails and validations
  • Assist with project management activities
  • Provide hands-on analysis for support issues and assist with user training
  • Provide regular status reporting and issue tracking on-going projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 or more years of experience as a software engineer involved in application development life cycles
  • 5 or more years of software development experience in financial services (with strong understanding of Fixed Income, Equity, FX, and Derivative instruments)
  • Experience with Calypso Financial Software
  • Proficiency in at least one the follow computer languages: Java (strongly preferred), JavaScript, Scala
  • Working knowledge of modern system design, software development principles, and methodologies
  • Prior working experience in modern data management life cycle in real-world business contexts
  • Comfortable with test driven development, continuous integration, metadata driven software, and agile development methodologies
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM development process
  • Experience in financial data domain is preferred, especially in derivatives trade and market reference data
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services is a strong plus
  • Experience in modern data technology stacks, e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query is preferred
  • Experience with modern enterprise data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Postgres is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in SQL or other relational database technologies is desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, finance, engineering, or related field is highly desired

The base salary range for this position is:

USD 90,000 - 180,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salaryis only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
