Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Utilize Java to create interfaces that will integrate
o Front office trading applications to Calypso (SG’s new back office application)
o Calypso to other in-house downstream systems (i.e. Accounting, risk, settlement)
• Utilize Java to create conversion and reconciliation tools to migrate data from current back office applications into Calypso
• Develop, test and enhance static data load programs
• Develop utilities and scripts to facilitate system performance tests
• Customize Calypso workflow utilizing Calypso toolkit
• Develop custom static data filters utilizing Calypso toolkit
• Implement custom trade confirmations utilizing Calypso toolkit
• Extend Calypso application security features utilizing Calypso toolkit
• Develop custom GUI’s utilizing Calypso toolkit
• Develop required reports utilizing Calypso toolkit
• Participate in the technical installation and maintenance of new Calypso software releases, patches, upgrades etc..
• Maintain internal Calypso project web-site
• Coordinate with internal DBA’s and SA’s on the installation and configuration of development, test, QA and production environments.
• Set up and test scheduled task jobs

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
• Java, JDBC, Java Web Start, JDK 1.4
• UNIX, NT, SQL, Scripting Languages, structured OO programming language
• Sybase DBMS experience
• Middleware oriented messaging systems (Tibco RV, IBM MQSeries)
Experience/knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, HTML, FTP, HTTP
Desired/Plus:
• Experience utilizing a trading system vendor-based Object Oriented Toolkit/API and Data Model (ie Calypso, Summit, Infinity)
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
