About the role

As a Java Backend Developer, you will make an impact by leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend solutions using Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-native engineering practices. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and dependent technology teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Java backend solutions using Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and cloud-native engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and dependent technology teams to define requirements, discuss solution design, and support effective integration across systems.
  • Provide technical guidance on application architecture, enterprise integration patterns, deployment standards, coding practices, and platform best practices.
  • Drive application modernization by improving system scalability, reliability, performance, observability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise technology standards, security requirements, quality expectations, production support needs, and project timelines.
What you need to have to be considered
  • Strong hands-on Java backend development experience, including expertise in Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and REST API development.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in application design discussions and collaborate with architects and dependent technology teams on solution dependencies and integrations.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native engineering, distributed systems, enterprise integration patterns, application scalability, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, security standards, troubleshooting, and production support in enterprise environments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business and technical requirements into practical, high-quality solutions.

  • Exposure to React or other UI technologies and experience supporting front-end and backend integration.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, deployment automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience developing or deploying applications in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering tools that support software development and developer productivity.
  • Relevant technical certifications in Java, cloud technologies, microservices, DevOps, or related disciplines.
